17 Again?

It had been a fruitful day. After tuition, I finally met up with my ex-JC cum OG friend, Josephine for dinner and movie. We watched the movie '17 Again'. It was great to catch up with my old friend after nearly a decade of lost contact. Well, friends meet again! We had lots to update each other about.

After watching the movie, I had some after thoughts. The movie was hilarious yet meaningful too. Somehow, it evoked some nostalgic feelings of those days when I was 17. Those days were filled with fun of orientation, camps, float making, banner painting, mass dancing, community work (LEO Club) and star gazing (Astronomy Club) in TJC... carefree days... as well as stress of exams of course. Jos was among the first few friends I made back in my JC days during the orientation week. It's amazing how we managed to meet again after years of lost contact. I am thankful to God I get to meet her again when I was on my way to work at NUS as a research assistant last year.

As I recall those days, another thought comes into mind: What would I do if I were 17 again? I continued to wonder...Would I do the same things again or differently? Would I have chosen NIE as my university choice and walked the path of a teacher? Or would I have chosen another path?

Nonetheless, I have enjoyed my JC, NIE n teaching days. There were good times n bad times... but I always feel nostalgic about the good old days... those were the times that I spent with friends. Though I may not have many friends, but I am glad I have met friends who are more than acquaintances and ready to lend me support n a listening ear. Always thankful!
