It's Friday!

Well, it has been quite a while since I last updated my blog with words. Here's some updating and reflections.

Since leaving the official teaching fraternity on 30th June, I thank God for the many blessings bestowed on me. For the past 5 months, I have been working as a part-time research assistant at NUS enjoying the adventures at fieldwork and learning new stuff. Without prior plan, I had somehow started doing tuition since 8th July.

Thanks be to God, my part-time tuition business has expanded from 2 kids to now 7 kids in all. The latest addition is my new girl, Ting Jie from China, Yunnan.

Heehee... mostly were my former students who came looking for me to tutor them. 2 others were recommended by my tuition kids' parents. Now, it's a matter of juggling my time wisely to maintain work-life balance. The key to everything is to cope and balance.

Aside from work, there must be rest. Hence, there has been more time to catch up with old friends. After a long day of work at NUS Tropical Marine Science Institute, I met up with my ex-GMPS friends for dinner at Marina Square Waraku Dining.

We had a good time chatting and updating each other. After dinner, we had coffee at Starbucks to continue our chat.

For the first time, I took the last train home at the very last minute before the service was terminated. It was also the first time I walked home together with my good old primary school friend cum neighbour, Minfen aka Evelyn. It was sure a cool night.

In exactly a month's time, it will be Meixuan aka Michelle's wedding. Wow! I am looking forward to December. A month of weddings to attend... 2 weddings in a row. One by one, my friends are getting attached and married. I am still waiting for my prince charming to appear... waiting for God to provide one. Well, as God wills. If have, it will be wonderful. If don't have, life goes on and I will serve the LORD with the gifts He has bestowed upon me. Hehehe, then I will be a swinging bachelorette doing stuff that I enjoy. Always remember to give thanks and count my blessings.
