Do Your Best And Leave The Rest

Praise be to the LORD my GOD for this morning's daily bread reading. The title says it all, 'DO YOUR BEST AND LEAVE THE REST'. The BIBLE reading is from 1 Thessalonians 5:14 -24. This passage was Apostle Paul's letter of various exhortations to the Thessalonian Christians. The star verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
"He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."

Indeed, when we think that we can't do much for God, God uses us greatly in the little ways we can contribute in serving Him. The apostle Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to give their all for God (c.f. 1 Thessalonians 5: 14 -22).
"Now, we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
Rejoice always,
praying without ceasing,
in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit.
Do not despise prophecies.
Test all things;
hold fast what is good.
Abstain from every form of evil."

Once again, I am reminded of the above as well as to do my best in my Christian life and service. When pressure periods come and I just don't have the time I feel I need, I should do my best I can and then prayerfully trust God's faithfulness (c.f. v.24). Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us all do the same, remembering to give our best to God and trust in God to carry us through the storms in our lives. Our GOD is faithful ... yesterday, today and forever more. Friends and family may fail us, but our GOD never fails and is always faithful to be there for us, good times and bad times. This is definitely a fact and reality I can witness to, as GOD has been and is real in my life to carry me through my good and bad times. Yeah! God never leaves me lonely.

Give of your best to the Master,
Give Him first place in your heart;
Give Him first place in your service,
Consecrate every part. ---Grose

in case you are going the wrong way.
