Serving One Another

Morning sunrise bathed me in its glow and shine. Sweetly, I enjoy the morning Quiet Time with God. This morning, I read Galatians 5: 13 - 16. The title in the Daily Bread was Serving One Another. What a coincidence that it was a reinforcement of the sharing during Christian Fellowship last night. God is emphasising the importance of SERVING one another to me.
*v.13
"... Through love serve one another."

v. 14

"... You shall love your neighbour as yourself."

v. 16

"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."
What I have learnt:
1) Blessing God by serving others.

2) Salvation is by grace through faith.

3) It is by faith I live out my new life in Christ.

As I serve Jesus faithfully;
And may His love be seen in me

*6) God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others.
Truly, the Word of God touches my life. God has blessed me in many ways. May God take my life and let it be. May God use me to serve Him in the way He deems fit.
Reviewing my action plan that I decided on from last night's Christian fellowship, the following are 5 key Bible verses on "one another" that I have in mind to carry out in sequence:

1) 2 Corinthians 13: 11
"Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you."

2) Ephesians 4: 32
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

3) Ephesians 5: 19
"... addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart..."
4) James 5: 16
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another..."

5) 1 Peter 4: 8 - 10

"Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

Well, of course, in order to execute my action plan, I must first commit these verses to memory one at a time. Over the years, I have learnt an important lesson: Slow down and do it step by step, never rush for more haste, less speed. It is always a lesson of BACK-TO-BASICS, do everything STEP BY STEP. More importantly, always to rely upon the Lord my God to do all things. Always reminded of this Bible verse that my former primary school teacher, Mr Gan, made us memorise in Geylang Methodist Primary school...

Proverbs 3: 5, 6
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."
