Everything In God's Time

God has His perfect timing and purpose for everything. As I read and meditate upon the words written in Ecclesiastes 3, it brings such sweet comfort and encouragement to my weary and broken soul.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
"To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

Ecclesiastes 3: 3
"... A time to break down,
And a time to build up."

Indeed, these words apply to me perfectly. Although God has broken me down in many ways, He builds me up once again to be even stronger and better than before. As some would say, I show forth the spirit of resilence.

c.f. v.9 ... The profit I have from my labour is that of a God-given task... be it teaching children or anything else that I should venture in future.

Ecclesiastes 3: 11 - 13
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from the beginning to end.
I know there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,
and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labour - it is the gift of God."

Similarly, God has put eternity in my heart, understanding that He has made everything beautiful in its time, be it the good or bad that befalls me. God has His purpose for all that happens in my life. Most importantly, I must always rememeber to rejoice and do good in my life. Doing good, I have done... rejoicing... yes, I do... and need to do even more.

Ecclesiastes 3: 14 - 17
"I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever.
Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it,
God does it, that men should fear before Him.

That which is has already been,
And what is to be has already been;
And God requires an account of what is past.

Moreover, I saw under the sun:
In the place of judgment,
Wickedness was there,
And in the place of righteousness,
Iniquity was there.

I said in my heart,
"God shall judge the righteous and the wicked,
For there shall be a time there for
every purpose and for every work."

Ecclesiastes 3: 20
"All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all returns to dust."

Ecclesiastes 3: 22
"So I perceived that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?"

Be the FIRST to CONGRATULATE an opponent who SUCCEEDS
Be the LAST to CRITICIZE a friend who FAILS

Be sure where next step will fall, so that you will not stumble
Be sure of your final destination,
in case you are going the wrong way.

Be LOVING
to those who LOVE you

Be LOVING
to those who DO NOT LOVE you,
and they may CHANGE.

Above all, BE YOURSELF.
