Thanks be to the Lord for renewing me each day with His Word and other readings. Indeed, I am greatly encouraged by what is written in the following verses ...
Philippians 4: 4 - 14
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.

Yes, I enjoy the peace and rest in the Lord during my time of being down mentally, physically and spiritually. It's a time of rejoicing and renewing once again. Learning to stand firm in the Lord despite difficulties. I love this bookmark that my ex-TK VINE students, Feibin and Feifan, also Christians, gave to me back then. The following verses on the bookmark are of great comfort and motivation to me everyday.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16 - 18
Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

In my reading of this Christian literature 'LOVING GOD WITH ALL YOUR MIND', I read these chapters on TRUSTING THE LORD, NAVIGATING THE MAZE OF LIFE and ENDURING DIFFICULT TIMES. What a timely encouragement and comfort for me in a time of weakness. The focus verses are the following...

Romans 8: 28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 - 14
"..For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then, you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD.
